Hello, I’m Kat
I’m a neurodivergent marcomms leader with more than 15 years of experience. I can seamlessly join any agency or team to advocate for your brand’s needs.
A perpetual creator, I’m hard-wired for marketing and brand management. I work full time for a leading national nonprofit, operating in a federated model. I’m focused on branding, digital marketing, social media, campaign development and management, content creation, influencer partnerships, and corporate activation. I joke that I’m in everyone’s business, and I mean it in the best way; my work is typically integrated throughout and I have a welcomed seat at the table. It’s worth noting that finance, legal, and IT people also like working with me.
I like to challenge conventional norms. I’ve worked with several brands to refine their values and messaging, build award-winning storytelling programs that raise money, boost their brand presence, and help teams thrive amid organizational change. I have also served on the judging panel for The Telly Awards, PR Weekly | Campaign Brand Film Awards, and the REGGIE Awards presented by the Association of National Advertisers.
People tend to ask me to run brand workshops, offer professional management advice, or help lead new branding projects. Occasionally, I assist counsel with trademarking and protecting intellectual property.
I like to collaborate with people and companies that align with my values and interests, and thrive in environments that allow for deep focus and exploration. Otherwise, it’s a hard no for me, even if I do believe in the merit of your business. Life’s too short.
Proudly Autistic, I’m also a breast cancer survivor. I like to talk about this with my best friend and sister on a podcast we started. My sister was diagnosed with breast cancer three months after me. One of these days we’ll work on our show again. For now, I’m happy volunteering as a Colorado master gardener interested in tilth, trees, and insects, and I like reclaiming materials for art.
When I’m not spending time on branding or other creative projects, I’m probably outside with our dog, figuring out how to master rolled omelets, gardening in our yard with our chickens, or bingeing some show with my talented, filmmaker husband.
Reach out and say hello!
